“A short journey into a poetic and private world...an emotional and intimate solo piece”

IL GIORNO

There is, a young women, named Miss L.
She will never be called by her proper name,
because she is alone, and in her loneliness she loses herself in
wer mind, in her dreams.
She is in her special space, her private place, where everything in her world and life could happen.
For a moment, she turns into all the women she wants to be – a daughter, a mother, a dancer, a lover.
She remembers the time she was madly in love, and also that time when her love came to an end.
She also remembers how beautiful it was when as a child she dreamt of becoming a dancer...
But now? Where can she stow all these things?
Dreams kept as secret wishes.
But who is Miss L?
What does she keep in her wardrobe?

Sanpapié is a theatre-dance company, founded in 2006 following a valuable collaboration between Sarah Chiarcos and Lara Guidetti, both  student graduates from the Paolo Grassi School of Dramatic Arts.

Since its birth, Sanpapié has been pursuing work that focuses on three different fields - choreography, drama and music - with a well-defined aim: fusing the narrative of theatrical language with the expressive power of choreography.

Plays and dramas are written by Sarah Chiarcos, (playwright), and Lara Guidetti, (choreographer and dancer). Marcello Gori, (musician) has established a strong relationship with the duo and has collaborated successfully with them now for several years.

In 2008 Sanpapié presented BOH, which is going to be staged here at the Fringe Frestival, another original performance, a Lara Guidetti solo, which debuted in Modena and was presented in Paris at the International Migration Festival, organized by Theatre de l’Opprimèe.

Thanks to ETRE – Cariplo Prize won in 2008, Sanpapié is a resident company at Spazio Mil, in Sesto San Giovanni with two other theatre companies for a triennial project called PUL. This project aims at defining a longlasting activity that will enrich the territory through a qualitative and creative cultural offering.
